I have tried the DJ 36 and 41 at an AD. The 41 seems to wear a bit too large on my wrist. I wear an Omega SMP in 41mm just fine. Maybe it is the lug to lug, case or angle of the lugs that makes the DJ 41 look too big. My wrist is 7 inches. I could probably get by with the smooth bezel. But, prefer the fluted bezel.
My personal preference is: fluted bezel —> 36mm. smooth bezel —> 41mm. A 41mm DJ with a fluted bezel would just be a bit too flashy IMO and throw off the classic dress watch look, regardless of your wrist size. 36mm is the perfect, timeless size for that. I actually do have the question to your lug to lug length on the 126200/126234. I measured it with a digital caliper and it came out to 43.4 mm. I hope that helps.
