I recently came across this Rolex, and as I look at it, I'm somewhat stunned it was ever released. I think Rolex gets a bit of a bad rep by both watch and non watch enthusiasts , but this design has got to be the most god awful I’ve ever seen. A Rolex modded by La Callifornienne, so ugly that Rolex themselves took them to court over it and won. Rolex’s are ugly. I appreciate them for their history and craft but the design and the countless iterations of the same watch in different color ways are boring and ugly. The k+ price tag can get something much more appealing steeped in just as much history and craftsmanship.Rolexes aren’t the most beautiful but they aren’t ugly. Most of them are 7/10 which is the sweet spot. Not too flashy looking and not trying to do much in its design.
