They combine a platinum bezel with a middle case, winding crown, case back and bracelet in Oystersteel.I have both a black Submariner date (116610LN) and a blue dial Yachtmaster 40 (126622) and for an everyday watch, I would recommend the Submariner - especially if it is your first watch. The Submariner IMO is more versatile and can be worn with anything.

This watch is my first one with precious metal and honestly the gold I find very subtle. In certain light it either looks bling or very subdued. The price of the watch I think is certainly fair in comparison to it's full blown RG, WG or Platinum siblings.
