New Rolex Explorer II Dimensions. I was allotted a new 2021 Explorer II (226570) today and posted some rough dimensions in another thread. I thought I would follow up with some more detail. All measurements taken with digital calipers and a kitchen scale. The 226570 doesn't see a diameter change like the Sub did and its lug-to-lug is also the same, but it does have a narrower tapering of the lugs (material was taken from the inside) and a slightly wider Oyster bracelet nestled in between. It's 40mm wide, 12mm thick, and 46mm lug to lug. I actually don't like the extremely yellow patina on this dial, so I think this amount is perfect. The next generation (ref. 216570) grew to 42mm, and everything got much bolder, including bigger indices, heavier hands, bolder numerals on the bezel, and orange accents. Water resistant to 100M and measuring 40mm-wide, 12.2mm-thick, and 47mm lug-to-lug, the Explorer II 16570 is pretty ideally sized and works for smaller or larger wrists. Worn on my 7.5-inch wrist, I had zero complaints and found the sizing just right.
