Yes, it's perfect for a beginner. I started on one 5 years ago. They're built like tanks and can stand up to accidents. I would personally choose this over almost any other instrument (apart from the intermediate large tenors with f Attachments) for a beginner. I wasn't able to find a clear "tier list" of beginner trombone models, though previous threads on this subreddit generally suggested student models by Yamaha, Conn, and King and a few other brands. Looking at used trombones in my area, I see a King 606 and Yamaha YSL-354 but also a Getzen 351.Yamaha standard trombones were designed to make it easier for beginning students to sound good.and as soon as possible.
