It's a Breitling Antares ref.81970, and I have the original papers and the watch box that came with it. However, I'm a bit uncertain about its authenticity and would greatly appreciate some guidance on how to confirm its legitimacy. The Antares and Antares World were part of the Windrider range sold by Breitling in the early/mid 1990s. The Antares is indeed a very nice Breitling and it really is not an "entry" level piece. It was the predecessor to the "Wings" automatic from the "Nightflight" model series. It is a caliber B10 (ETA-2892) movement, non-chronograph, very robust and accurate. It was in the mid-1980s that Breitling adopted the now-famous (though currently “discontinued”) logo with the classic Breitling B, flanked by wings and fixed by an anchor. The logo symbolized Breitling’s commitment to producing serious timepieces that were capable in the most extreme conditions.In the intricate tapestry of horology, few names shine as brightly as the Breitling watches. With a legacy that spans over a century, the ever popular Breitling watch collection has etched its name into watchmaking history, embodying the perfect fusion of precision engineering, timeless aesthetics, and a relentless pursuit of innovation.Ended up buying a different watch at the dealer, same brand different model. Absolutely love the way it looks 10 months on..still stare at it. So in a case like this I suggest you try on the watch (or at least a similar breitling).
