The automatic P.9010 calibre, entirely developed and created in the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel, has central hour and minute hands, the small seconds dial at 9 o’clock and the date at 3 o’clock. The P.9010 offers a jumping hour hand which does not stop the movement when being adjusted, making travel between time zones easy with no interruption to the accuracy of your setting. It should be noted that the jumping hour adds considerable complication to the movement when compared to standard time-date movements. Removing hacking seconds is a serious nerf. Pre evolution 9010 is now the only 9010 worth looking for (if in market)

Gained like 20 seconds a day right out of the box and within six months was off by around a minute a day. The freely oscillating balance with weight screws along its rim for fine adjustment ought to likewise improve the movement’s accuracy and fine regulation. As is usual in Panerai watches, the plate covers most of the movement, which boasts abraded stripes, polished heads on screws, and beveled and polished edges on flat parts.
